Spend several hours learning from accomplished artist, Leslie Duncan. Classically trained, Leslie developed her very personal and captivating style of portraying the desert and everything in it. She will guide you through the process of creating your design so that it evokes the feelings you want to portray. You will then transfer your design unto a plate or mug of your choice, take it through the underglazing and glazing process, and leave it in the kiln for firing.
After two weeks, students will take home a finished piece of ceramic art similar to those Leslie makes and sells for $95.
Some simple desert themed designs will be provided. However, students you are ncouraged to bring your own simple design.
